The Grain Management System is a metrological and electronic monitoring system for grain silo bins.

Our mission is to make grain storage more efficient and to keep the grain in a healthy state. An estimated one-third of all harvested grain goes to waste, predominantly due to difficulties during storage. After the harvest, grain continues to ripen. Moisture and thermal energy is released while the grain is stored in a closed container. This encourages the growth of mold fungus and insects.

In order to enable a long-term storage without quality losses, the grain must be kept in an ideal state. Monitoring physical quantities in the silo is of great importance in order to make an exact statement about the condition of the grain and to introduce preventive measures at the right time.



We improve the silo plant operation with our intelligent sensor technologies in- and outside the storage bin. Our prediction systems which are designed with electronic and mechanical devices help you make the right decisions.

Our program informs you via computer, tablet or smartphone with alarms. Depending on the grain condition, appropriate precautionary measures can be introduced. The system can be configured to run as a completely automated process or you can take control from any mobile device.

The use of our Grain Management pre-warning system offers great advantages in terms of economy, health and environmental protection. Less waste is produced, use of chemicals is prevented and energy is saved through automated handling. This surely plays an important role in adding a great value for the supply of healthy grain.


Monitoring Systems - Measurement Technology and Electronic Solutions

THE ART OF KEEPING YOUR GRAIN COOL

From the continuous monitoring of physical quantities, the status of the grain can be precisely determined and preventive measures can be initiated. This enables a long-term storage of healthy and high quality grain.
Temperature Monitoring System
By continously measuring temperatures inside the grain silo, heat spots and heat development can be recognized at an early stage. Monitoring the entire bulk is particularly important because grain has a low thermal conductivity. Heat spreads slowly to the surrounding grains and is often recognized too late.
We offer a multi-point temperature monitoring system with sensors spread evenly throughout the storage bin for early heat detection.
Humidity Monitoring System
Maintaining a certain humidity content inside a storage bin is important to prevent rotting and fungal attacks. When a moisture development is recognized early, moisture-reducing measures such as drying and aerating can be initiated to protect the grain from losses.
The humidity content can be controlled throughout the entire grain bulk with our sensor cable solution.
Level Monitoring
Level monitoring is used to monitor the capacities of the silo containers.
In addition to the benefits for strategic planning, the topography of the bulk in the silo is determined to ensure evenly distributed grain in the silo in order to achieve even ventilation, drying and cooling.
Our level monitoring solutions include electronic weighing, force measurement or software recognition, depending on the required accuracy and application area.
CO2 Monitoring
The CO2 content is an indicator for possible grain quality losses. High CO2 values in the silo can indicate mold, high moisture content, insects and high temperatures. Spoiled grain produces higher levels of carbon dioxide compared to healthy grain.
The CO2 sensor is installed on the roof inside the silo. In this way, the earliest possible warning of undesired biological activities is achieved.
Fan Control
Heat and moisture, which is generated by the respiration of the grain and microorganisms, is dissipated during ventilation.
We enable you to conveniently control your fans remotely using our GrainManagement software via PC, tablet or smartphone. Or you can fully automate your fans with our automated grain-handling solution.
Electronic Weighing and Force Measurement
By recording and documenting data when loading and unloading and knowing the maximum capacities of the containers, very precise information about the filling level can be made. Our weighing systems are also used for feeder silos and inventory monitoring.
